An affiliate of Miss America's Outstanding Teen a program designed to "promoting scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, and healthy living and community involvement for America's teens".

Oregon's Outstanding Teen Competition is a program for young ladies 13 to 17 years of age.  The competition is intended to encourage and reward scholastic achievement, communication skills, talent and community service.  In preparation for the competition, all contestants will attend a "PAGEANT CAMP" workshop being held the weekend of May 21st thru 23rd in Seaside, Oregon.  This will be a concentrated workshop aimed at helping each participant build success skills, unique to her, in a number of areas including, how to fill out scholarship applications, interview skills and techniques, health tips, grooming and make-up demonstrations, a fashion show and much more.
